Meet our 2022 Fellows!

Seeding Change is thrilled to welcome 21 young Asian American activists and organizers to be a part of the 9th cohort of the National Fellowship Program for Asian American Organizing and Civic Engagement.

The fellowship program aims to grow the next generation of organizers by developing the leadership and skills of young Asian Americans who want to organize for social change in working class, immigrant and refugee communities.

This year we are thrilled to be working with 11 host-sites in 10 cities across the country – Asian Americans United, CAAAV – Organizing Asian Communities, VietLead, Rising Voices of Asian American Families, California Healthy Nail Salon Collaborative, Chinese Progressive Association San Francisco, Hmong Innovating Politics, Filipino Community Center, OPAWL – Building AAPI Feminist Leadership, Pilipino Workers’ Center, and Khmer Girls in Action.

Learn more about the sites here.

Our fellows will be gathering on Ohlone Territory (Bay Area, CA) for their weeklong orientation retreat. They will then spend 8 to 10 weeks working remotely with their host sites from all across the country — getting to know the local community and learning how grassroots communities organize, develop leadership, and build power to win. Fellows will work on key issues impacting grassroots immigrant communities, including: housing; workers rights; youth leadership development; climate justice; and civic engagement.

We are so excited to start building with this cohort of Asian American activists and organizers looking to make change.
